Romaine Mandarin SaladIngredients:1/4 cup slivered almonds
1 1/2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 head romaine lettuce
2 ribs celery, sliced
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
1 can (10 oz) mandarin oranges, drained
Dressing (whisk together):
1/2 cup canola oil
1/4 cup granulated sufar
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp salt
2 dashes hot pepper sauce
Directions:In large saucepan, heat almonds and sugar; shake plan or stir with wooden spoon to coat nuts with sugar. In large bowl, tear lettuce. Add celery, onion, and mandarins; toss. Add dress; toss. Top with almonds just before serving. 8 servings Recipe compliments of Canola Info
